Over time any all-weather pitch that is not maintained will gradually collect dirt and debris, whether this is from the pitch's location & its general use, dirt from users footwear, gradual degradation of leaf matter, broken pile fibres or even local wildlife leaving their mark, this dirt will gradually migrate deeper into the pile therfore proactive maintenance is necessity.

Regular drag brushing can, although keeping the sand loose and the pile upright, encourage the dirt to settle deeper and NOT be removed. A surface that is not evenly drag brushed will eventually harden and become uncomfortable to play on, this is due to the sand infill being compacted. This will then expose the pile causing it to nap over and eventually break off, further contaminating the surface and preventing quality drainage. Poor drainage. Poor drainage will result in excessive moister and eventually moss, algae and other flora will take hold of the all-weather pitch.

Using a Power Sweep which has a soft cylindrical brush will lift approximately 2-3mm of sand and pile. The clean lifted sand is then returned to the surface and drag brushed into the pile, which lifts and supports the pile. This process is also adviced for 3G long pile surfaces, as they too will collect dirt deep into the fibres. The Power Sweep will take approximately half a day to complete on a full size pitch.

3. 2 Chemical treatments to the playing surface to prevent or remove moss
4. Annual report to the client to inform of condition of facility

PACKAGE 3: 4 Quarterly visits to the facility to perform the following:

1. 4 Power Sweeps to remove all surface debries, flora & fauna
2. All perimeters cleared of debris & sand
3. 2 Chemical treatments to the playing surface to prevent or remove moss
4. Annual report to the client to inform of condition of facility
